As far as Lon Victor Post was concerned, nothing he was doing Wednesday morning was illegal. He was just sitting in his car, playing music and smoking a little marijuana.

The only problem? Post was in Mohave County, Arizona, where recreational marijuana is still illegal.

So when police officers arrived at his car after reports of an intoxicated man playing music loudly at 1:30 a.m., Post’s behavior was more than a little odd at first, according to an arrest record published by the Mohave Valley Daily News.

When deputies asked him to turn the music down, Post did. The officers then noticed an odor of burnt marijuana and a small plastic bag in his shirt pocket, per The Daily Miner. They asked him to remove the bag, which he did, and asked him what was in it. Post admitted freely that it was weed and that he did not have a medical license to possess marijuana in the state of Arizona.

For the second time in a month, a marijuana grow in north Boulder has been cited for violating odor regulations and now owes $14,000 in fines.

Dandelion Grow, which is owned by the same group representing Native Roots Dispensary, the largest pot chain and license holder in Colorado, was given two-months to address the issue, but the business “elected not to make the necessary changes to come into compliance,” said city spokeswoman Sarah Huntley.

Boulder’s enforcement of marijuana odor regulations, which state that no odor should be detectable from the outside a pot business, is based purely on citizen complaints. In Dandelion’s case, there were many. The aging facility’s air control is so poor that neighbors say its emitted skunky odor often wafts a block or more away into homes.

Some employees of a Wendy’s restaurant in Ohio could soon find themselves standing in the unemployment line, and possibly even face charges, after a Huber Heights woman reportedly discovered her daughter’s french fries had been seasoned with a little Mary Jane.

According to a report from WDTN News, Dezeray Risner pulled into a local Wendy’s earlier this week to get her 4-year-old daughter an order of fries. However, minutes after leaving the drive-thru, her little girl began screaming from the back seat about how her food “tasted funny.” Upon further inspection, Risner says she found that the fries had come with a side of marijuana.

If Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump really wants a wall to prevent illegal drugs from being smuggled into the United States, he’s going to have to build the damn thing pretty tall.

Over the weekend, Mexico’s Policía Federal stumbled onto a panel van modified to haul a massive homemade cannon that they believe was used had been used to catapult illicit substances across the U.S./Mexico border. The van was discovered in the city of Agu Prieta, Sonora, just over the border from southeast Arizona. It was was found with its doors wipe open and without licenses plates.

A press release issued by federal authorities said the nearly ten foot long “homemade bazooka” was equipped with a small gasoline engine and an air compressor that was likely used in conjunction to blast drug shipments across the border.

From Orlando, Florida, comes the maddening case of Daniel Rushing—who was literally arrested, handcuffed and charged with methamphetamine possession over a tiny flake of donut glaze on the floor of his car.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that Rushing was driving home after dropping off a neighbor at the hospital for a chemotherapy session—something he did every Friday—when he stopped at a 7-Eleven to give another friend a ride home. The 7-Eleven was being staked out for suspected drug activity, and Rushing was stopped by police for failing to come to a full stop while pulling out of the parking lot.

CARLISLE, Pa. (AP) — A central Pennsylvania man was charged Thursday after police say he sprayed fluid used to embalm a human brain on marijuana that he then smoked.

State police in Carlisle charged 26-year-old Joshua Lee Long with abuse of a corpse and conspiracy.

Court records indicate Long’s aunt contacted detectives on June 21 after finding a human brain in a department store bag under a porch while cleaning out a trailer.
