Where To Buy Legal Weed In California On January 1
A new day, a new year and a new era dawn all at once on January 1 in California.
When morning comes to 2018, it brings with it the first day of legal retail sales of cannabis to all adults 21 and over. California was one of four states where voters legalized adult-use marijuana possession and sales on Election Day 2016, and it will be the second to begin what’s expected to be a multi-billion-dollar market. Dispensaries in Nevada opened over the summer.
In California, where medical marijuana sales have been going on in some form since the 1990s, retail outlets that shut their doors on December 31 as medical marijuana-only will open for business as adult-use dispensaries—but this momentous occasion will not happen everywhere in the state, and not all at once.

Jack in the Box to offer new menu to target marijuana smokers with munchies in California
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Jack in the Box is going to take advantage of California’s new recreational marijuana laws by offering a new menu targeting pot smokers.
The fast food chain will debut the weed-themed Merry Munchie Meal at three restaurants in Long Beach, California in mid-January, USA Today reports.
The munchie meal will be offered from Jan. 18 to 25 and is part of a partnership with cannabis lifestyle website Merry Jane – which is backed by Snoop Dogg.

California prepares for sale of recreational marijuana
On January 1st it will be legal to buy marijuana products in cities and counties that have agreed to allow it.
It's been a year since voters approved legalizing pot and three main state agencies have been created to license and regulate it. At the top of the list is the Bureau of Cannabis Control, Lori Ajax is its chief. She and her staff are jamming to get sales going January first.
"We think we are going to have a lot of interest we think we are going to have a lot of people applying for licenses we'll know more next month and so we are expecting a lot of people," Ajax said.

These States Are Likely To Legalize Marijuana In 2018
After four of five statewide marijuana legalization ballot initiatives were approved by voters in 2016, no additional states ended cannabis prohibition in 2017 (though New Hampshire did decriminalize possession of the drug and West Virginia allowed its medical use).
