Bob Marley’s Son Prepares to Create Amsterdam-Style Coffee Shops
If you’re one of Bob Marley’s eight children, you can pretty much choose to do whatever you want in life. Most of them went into areas connected to what made the world know and love their father: music and ganja.
One of the sons, Rohan Marley, has pursued an endeavor with an even better outlook for those of us who also love coffee.
After a brief athletic career with the Canadian Football League and Jamaica’s national soccer team, Rohan, 45, bought 50 acres in Jamaica’s Blue Mountains and started Marley Coffee, then created House of Marley, a brand of sustainable products and a lifestyle movement.
THE HOUSE OF MARLEY AWAKENING
In keeping with the entire Marley clan, Rohan supports legalization and promotes the benefits of cannabis.

Jay Leno Test Drives a Cannabis Car
On a recent episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, retired Dell executive Bruce Dietzen banged on the hood of a snazzy red convertible to demonstrate the strength and durability of his 2017 Renew, which is made out of 100 pounds of cannabis hemp.
Dietzen explained to Leno that hemp is 10 times stronger than steel but not psychoactive.
“It’s not made out of marijuana, it’s made out of cannabis hemp. You could smoke all the cannabis hemp you want, and you won’t get high,” Dietzen told Leno, as if he didn’t know.
Leno banged on the hemp hood for good measure, then they hopped in for a test drive.
“Maybe we’ll hit a couple of cars and see what happens.” Leno joked. “Then, we’ll really see how strong it is.”

Lance Armstrong’s PEDs Were Bunk, Didn’t Enhance Performance
The only thing worse than losing seven Tour de France titles for using performance-enhancing drugs —other than, like, death, poverty or any number of the quotidian, actual misfortunes we plebs suffer every day—is losing seven Tour de France titles for using performance-enhancing drugs that didn’t enhance your performance.
This cosmic joke is the latest sling suffered by disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong, the inspirational, cancer-surviving, wife-leaving, friendship-destroying story once worn around every the wrist of every positive-thinking American susceptible to a popular fad.
In case you forgot—and who could blame you, since 2012 was so very long ago—here’s the story arc: In 1996, Lance Armstrong, obscure American professional cyclist, is diagnosed with cancer. He beats cancer, and then, beginning in 1999, beats everybody else in the Tour de France, cycling’s World Cup, every year, for seven straight years. (At the time, at least part of the credit for Armstrong’s incredible run, in addition to spectacular luck and the ruthless efficiency and selfless sacrifice of his U.S. Postal Service teammates, was due to his super-sized internal organs.) He leaves his wife for a rock star, every insufferable person in America wears a Livestrong bracelet, he is God.

Boxing Champion Wilder Charged with Pot Possession
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Heavyweight boxing champion Deontay Wilder was charged Wednesday with misdemeanor marijuana possession, but his lawyer says the marijuana found in his car did not belong to him.
Police in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, said in a statement that they arrested Wilder on Wednesday afternoon after they found marijuana in his Cadillac Escalade. Wilder, 31, was initially stopped for a window tint violation. Officers searched the car after smelling marijuana and found a small amount in the vehicle’s console.
Wilder was charged with second-degree marijuana possession, a misdemeanor, and released on $1,000 bond.
Wilder’s attorney Paul Patterson told The Associated Press that Wilder said the marijuana did not belong to him. Patterson said that Wilder had just returned from an out-of-town trip, in which he had been driving another vehicle, and selected the Escalade to run errands around Tuscaloosa.

How Pot Helped Actor Charlie Hunnam Become King Arthur
NEW YORK (AP) — Charlie Hunnam says he convinced director Guy Ritchie to cast him as King Arthur after the two bonded over marijuana – talking about it, not indulging in it.
“I heard Guy Ritchie’s ‘King Arthur’ and I thought, ‘That’s a brilliant idea,’ and I just sort of saw it right away and wanted to be a part of it,” said Hunnam while promoting the film Wednesday. “And so, we presented that to Guy, my agent, and he just really wasn’t interested. And I said, ‘That is just unacceptable, my friend.'”
So Hunnam booked a trip to London on a week off from filming “Sons of Anarchy” and landed a meeting with Ritchie. He had a standard pitch raring to go but quickly learned Ritchie didn’t want to even talk about the movie.

Former television personality Montel Williams has used cannabis nearly every day for 17 years. But he hasn't smoked it in over a decade.
"I have dexterity problems. I can't roll a joint to save my life," Williams tells Business Insider. He prefers vaporizing more concentrated forms of the drug.
Williams, who is also a retired Navy officer, suffers from multiple sclerosis, a disease that causes his immune system to attack the insulation around his nerves. It produces intense, burning sensations from his head to his toes.
